My ISP is working again, at least to a non-MiNT stack, but pppd does not work. I get a dialup connection, but no ppp link, and ifconfig never detects one. For all I know, I might have come across another manifestation of a version of ppp that will not work with any other version. The answer to one question might help. My logon ID is jimd1. My fully qualified domaine name is gbronline.com. Where does ppp get the fully qualified domaine name from? Have RTFM, and tried pap-secrets, and that does not change anything.
