After having TOS and MagiC run, now I want to install the latest MiNT release (in combination with EasyMiNT). Here are some remarks: 1. Before installing I read the documentation concerning the new Kernel. Doing this from minimal TOS installation is a real pain as most of the files are using only LF as line endings. Sure that's no problem if you use an installed system with an appropriate application, but if you use TOS it's unreadable. The following (IMO important) files are concerned: AUTO\README.TXT PROBLEMS For the rest in DOC\ it's not important. But atleast one should be able to read the AUTO\README.TXT without "problems" to choose the right kernel! OK, I'll stop on this subject as it seems hopeless. Most of the ASCII files are not "readable" under TOS. I shouldn't have tried to start from scrap... You should state: Minimal installation requirements: TOS, with installed QED to be able to read documentation I'll send more remarks later. Philipp
