It would appear there is..  I think I will rename it to gum ;)  I just
wanted a shorthand abbreviation for people who might execute it under
console.  It would be nice to be able to type something like "sum
install python" or "sum search gnome"  I know many hardcore devs would
prefer to operate that way, plus GEM mode may not have all the required
features right away.  

I suppose it could be something like system-update though.
