The only time I built the binutils from EasyMiNT, I used hostfs and an detared everything and applied the paches from Cygwin. Everything went ok. Before running the compilation, I invite you to check the line endings of some patched and unpatched files in order to see what is wrong. And, just in case... I hope you didn't unpack the tarballs with WinZip ? Most versions have an option "TAR file spart CR/LF conversion" checked by default. So when you detar a tar file, WinZip adds CR/LF to all files ! Another idea is the Cygwin mount mode of your hostfs directory... but it should not be a problem. Good luck. -- Vincent Rivière
