I would like to know exactly what was the problem with the original code.
A crash on startup, without explanation, but why ?
for me it's quite a mystery, too. xgcc is built against the same mintlib, it takes for sure much longer commandlines and this crash doesn't happen, just that libgcc linking. however, it would be nice to know if it solves keith's problem with scummvm (that strange ar //@ error)
