vincent, is it possible that this might be one of those times that
only a certain setup will show a problem with the register clobber
from older builds..

Alternatively, is there a difference in byte order (bzip2 or bz2
format) between what Lars is using (SpareMiNT + Vincent), and what
Alan is using (not those)..as it sound like it might be HostOS related
(because of one of Lars failed test on his own HostOS).
