Just wondering if other peoples mktemp behaves odd= ly.

eg=3B

export my_tmp= =3D`mktemp /tmp/sedtestXXX`=3B echo $my_tmp=3B

wor= ks on my mac:
/tmp/sedtestClQ

but any at= tempt to use mktemp=2C running Aranym/mint 1-17-1 (with easymint 1-16-1 ins= tallation) returns:

cannot create temp file  = =3Btmp/sedtestXXX

... also its possibly worth tryi= ng:
mktemp "X\/tmp/sedtestXXX"
.. In either case=2C the= first character is being squashed.

I wonder if th= ere is an env variable I need to set or perhaps everyone gets this problem = and doesn't worry about it.

Any pointers to compil= ing a fresh mktemp appreciated.

As a separate ques= tion.. is the mint 1-17-1 generally stable with easymint? or should I move = what easymint installed (1-16) to the boot section for aranym..
