Would you please describe exactly what you are doing?

I have: 1.txt and 1.TXT.
I start qed, open a file, type *.TXT in the fileselector-prompt, and I
get 1.TXT. When I type *.txt, it's 1.txt. Same with predefined patterns.

So either we are talking abount different issues or different binaries.

I even tested this with the binary from gentoo.
