Did it? If so, a comparison of the bootlog of both versions could maybe
tell something.

I'd like to know that too, but a bug-report saying "it crashed at boot/shutdown" or
whatever won't ever lead to a solution.

There's no chance to fix these issues and there will be no atari-user
around anymore when the release is out.
