I doubt this is an solution to you, but one common source for BUS
errors with high-wire is using the "wrong" network OVL - therefore -
using the 68000 network OVL on an 68030 system... and vice versa. Make
sure you got them right...  

Here are several ( a bit older tough - 2008 ) beta releases for
highwire build for several hardware versions:

It just includes the mintnet network backend. But that should be enough
for your needs, right :) ?
